About
I'm Gabriel Bellard, founder of Midnight Mind. By day I'm CTO of a B2B software company, a job I've held for seven years. At night I write down my dreams — a habit I picked up long ago, with no aim beyond keeping what fades on waking.
Midnight Mind grew out of that habit and one frustration: online dream dictionaries reduce everything to a formula. I wanted a place that takes the night's images seriously without claiming to explain them.
I'm neither a psychologist nor an interpreter. I designed the blog's editorial method: every symbol is read through four sourced traditions — Ibn Sīrīn, Artemidorus, Zhou Gong, Jung — and the texts are drafted with language models, under an editorial line I set and review. Yume, the Baku, is its voice: a character, not an author.
If you spot an error, a misquoted source, a tradition misread, write to me. That's how the corpus gets better.
